Zona -Gayle- Trinkle

Zona “Gayle” Trinkle,79, Indianapolis, passed away June 30, 2017. She was born October 26, 1937 inWayne County, WV, one of the second youngest children of Silas and Stella (Little)Carter. Gayle married John Trinkle in August 1968 and resided for most of herlife in Irvington. Prior to having her two children, she worked as aspecial education instructor the Indianapolis Public Schools. Gayle lovedto dance, play cards, go to garage sales, and work in her garden and yard.Gayle was a member of the Elks and Moose clubs, and she was happiest whenspending time with others and making a positive difference in their lives. Mostimportantly, Gayle loved her family and spending time with them. Youcould find her any weekend sipping coffee on her son's patio, watching thegrandkids play, and telling stories. One of her goals in life, was to makesomeone smile every day. She was preceded in death by her husband, JohnTrinkle, in 1985. Gayle is survived by her sons, Dennis Trinkle (Kristi) andKeith Trinkle; her grandchildren, J. T. and Nathan Trinkle; her brother,Herbert Carter; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be on Monday, July 3 at 11 AM at Flanner and Buchanan- Geist,7855 Cork Road, Indianapolis, with visitation from 9 AMuntil service time.
