Zachary Brown

Zachary William Brown, 17, of Indianapolis died August 16, 2012. He was born March 28, 1995 in Indianapolis, the son of Lara Arnett-Wickliff and Jeffrey Scott Brown. He was starting his senior year at North Central High School where he had many friends. He attended Culver Summer Schools & Camps. He played football for the North Central Youth Football League and went on to play at Eastwood Middle School, Westlane Middle School and North Central High School. He was also a wrestler at North Central High School. He worked at Zest in Broad Ripple. Zach was an excellent artist who had a passion for music and playing the guitar. He strived to become one of the greats. He had some of the best friends he could have asked for. He was a best friend to many. He was smart, kind, compassionate, respectful and polite and everyone that met him loved him. Zach always saw the positive even when faced with adversity. He did not like when others were negative or at odds with one another and tried to convince them to see things in a different and better way. He helped people. He was generous and thoughtful. He loved animals. Zach was a very handsome and intelligent young man with a bright future in front of him. He was a gifted individual and he knew a lot about many things. He was an 'old soul' who enjoyed classical literature and classic rock. He knew he was loved and the world has been cheated the opportunity to enjoy his company and his contributions to it for as long as it should have. He was a great one. He was classic and timeless. Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore" (Edgar Allen Poe.) Zach is survived by his parents, Lara Arnett-Wickliff of Indianapolis and Jeffrey Scott Brown of Nashville, TN; and step-father, Robert Wickliff. He also leaves behind a maternal grandmother, Nancy (Jay) Gillett of Carmel, a paternal grandmother, Charlotte Marrow of Nashville, TN, and a paternal grandfather, Mike (Carol) Arnett of Chattanooga, TN. He is also survived by an uncle, Mike Arnett II and cousins Ryan and Rachel, of Carmel, and two aunts, Ashley Arnett of Nashville, TN and Mercedes Gillett of Normal, IL. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 24, 2012, at Flanner and Buchanan – Broad Ripple, 1305 East Broad Ripple Avenue. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 23, 2012, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Zachary W.
