Wolfgang Wahlers

Wolfgang Wahlers passed away on December 19th, 2025. He was born on December 9th, 1942, in Goslar, Germany. 

At 22 years old, Wolfgang immigrated to the United States from Germany on August 30th, 1965. He later made his home in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he built a life rooted in hard work, family, and perseverance. On November 6th, 2018, Wolfgang proudly became a United States citizen.

Wolfgang was the owner of Black Forest Motors, where he was known for his strong work ethic, mechanical skill, and dedication to his craft. His work reflected his integrity and pride in his profession.

He was married to his beloved wife, Wendy Hall, on August 27th, 1982. Together, they shared many years of partnership, family life, and cherished memories.

Wolfgang loved to travel the world enjoying the scenery and experiences along the way. He was also a devoted dog lover and had a special place in his heart for German Shepherds, who were constant companions throughout his life.

Wolfgang is survived by his wife, Wendy; his children, Kerri McClintic (Ted), Kimberly Szymczak (Tom), and Wade Hall (Stacy); his grandchildren, Samantha Huckelberry (Luke), Autumn Imbro (Jacob), Tobin McClintic (Claire), Lauren Szymczak, Nicholas Szymczak, Aubree Hall, and Owen Hall; and his great-grandchild, Lillian McClintic. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Conrad Helmet Wahlers and Freda Elsa Charlotte Wahlers. Wolfgang will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. 

His legacy lives on through the family he loved, the work he was proud of, and the life he built with determination and heart.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Wolfgang’s memory to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation. Donations may be made online by visiting the foundation’s website and selecting “Donate” in the top right corner. 

Visitation will be held at Flanner Buchanan Geist (7855 Cork Road, Indianapolis, IN 46236) on Monday, December 29th, 2025, from 1:00pm to 3:00 p.m, with Services to begin at 3:00pm.
