Winifred L. Olson, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2025, at the age of 77.

Born on May 15, 1948, to Charles McFall and Margaret Hall, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was raised by her mother Margaret and bonus father, Arthur Hall. A proud graduate of Howe High School, she began her working life as a fiberglass blower on yachts—a unique and challenging trade that showcased her determination and resilience. But it was in her roles as a homemaker, seamstress, and mother that Winifred truly found her calling.

She married the love of her life, Richard Olson, on August 28, 1976. Their union was one of deep love and companionship, lasting until Richard's passing in 2005. Together, they built a life rooted in devotion to family and shared joy.

Winifred had a natural talent for crafts and sewing, often creating with her hands and her heart. Her home was a place of comfort, filled with the cheerful sound of laughter—especially from her many grandchildren, whom she adored more than anything else. Her love for dogs was ever-present, always making room for a four-legged companion in her life.

She is survived by her children, R. Shay Olson (Kori) and Elisha Olson (Jeff Winburn); her cherished grandchildren: Shayla J. Olson, Adalynn R. Gentry, Ryanne L. Olson, Edynn K. Olson, Kirsten Winburn, Chance Olson, Lyric Olson, Unique Olson, Xavier Winburn, Destiny Winburn, and Atreu Winburn; as well as ten great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy. She also leaves behind her dear sister, Portia Kourany.

Winifred is preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard Olson, and her parents, Arthur and Margaret Hall.

Her legacy is one of quiet strength, creativity, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
