Wilma Jean Wood

Fishers, Indiana – Wilma Jean Wood passed away on June 25, 2023. Wilma was born to Charles and Mary (James) Wood in Indianapolis, Indiana, on November 30, 1940. She was 82 years old.

Wilma worked as a secretary and office manager for Turner Ritchie Plumbing for many years until her retirement in 2003.

Wilma loved to spend her time tending to her garden, voraciously reading, or working on needlepoint. In her earlier years, she loved to travel, especially to Australia which she visited twice. She also loved to watch game shows like the Price is Right and Family Feud, her TV Guide a constant companion in her later years.

Preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Wilma is survived by her children Mary Reinking (Johnathan), Kelly Haywood, James Reifeis, and Michael Reifeis (Kathy); stepchildren Wendy, Art, and Cindy Reifeis; grandchildren Justin Reinking (Kimberly), Jacob Reinking (Rachelle), Simon Reinking (Ashley), Kelsey Haywood, and Adam James Reifeis; and great grandchildren Skyler, Noah, Elijah, Chloe, Micah, and Avahlyn Reinking.

Friends and family will gather for visitation on Monday, July 3, 2023, at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East (10722 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46229) from 11 am – 1 pm. Funeral services will follow at 1 pm with Reverend Justin Reinking and Reverend Joshua Carson officiating. Wilma will be inurned at Gravel Lawn Cemetery (9088 West 102 S, Fortville, IN 46040) in a columbarium niche at a future date.
