Wilma J Vaughn

Wilma Vaughn, 85, of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away on February 9, 2022. Wilma was born on June 7, 1936, in Henderson, Kentucky to parents John Glausen and Mabel Pinkston. She was a dedicated member of the Secretarial Staff for Lawrence Township Schools until her retirement in 1998. Wilma enjoyed quality time with her family and friends, and had many talents which included: cooking, sewing, and encouraging others. She will undoubtedly be missed by all the lives she has touched.

Left behind to cherish Wilma’s memories are her loving husband of 65 years, James C. Vaughn; her children, Deborah Osborne (Carl), and Pamela Vaughn (Andy); her grandchildren, Jeremy Walker (Becky), Amanda Owensby (Chris), Kate Osborne, and Joseph Osborne; great-grandchildren, Emily Walker, Alex Walker, Taryn Owensby, Wesley Owensby, Callie Owensby, and Carlos Owensby.

Wilma is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Charles T. Pinkston.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022, from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St. Indianapolis, IN 46229. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 1:00pm. Wilma will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery.
