Wilma Eileen Staples

Wilma Eileen (Myers) Staples passed away Sunday July 31, 2022. Born in Shelbyville, Indiana to the late Orville and Lora Myers.  Mother grew  up on the family farm in Shelbyville with her sisters Ruby and Nancy.  She moved to Saint Paul, Indiana, and worked the lunch counter at  the local drugstore. Quentin Staples met Mother while working on his sales route which included the store that she worked at.  They got married and started raising a family, and bought a home north of Indianapolis. They were members of the Augusta Christian Church Family for years. She was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother.  She was not only a great Mother, but one of our best friends. Mother was known for her gorgeous, flaming red hair, her feisty personality, and as all of the family could attest, her angel food cake.

Preceded in death by her loving husband Quentin Littrell Staples, and her sister Ruby.  She is survived by her loving family, children Thomas Staples (Pat), Jeffrey Staples (Vickie), Gregory Staples (Susie, rest in peace), Andrea Pena (Charlie). Grandchildren Shawn Staples (Rachel), Elizabeth Staples (Darrell) great granddaughter Kaylie, Danny Rankin (Sarah), Nicole Lindsay (Ben), George Staples (Shelley), Brittney Pena, Nathaniel Rowland, Jennifer Staples, Jessica Staples (Erik), Joelle (Thomeson) Bjorn, Todd Jeffcoat (Julie), many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed, but in a better place with Dad and the rest of her Family and Friends.

Visiting hours will be held from 12:00-2:00 on Thursday, August 4^th at  Flanner Buchanan Washington Park North 2706 Kessler Blvd. W. Dr. Indianapolis, Indiana 46228.  The Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M.
