Willie J. Blanchard

Willie Jerome Blanchard 58, quietly passed away at home on February 25, 2013. Willie worked 33 years at Citizens Gas Prospect Plant as a millwright retiring in 2007, after the plant closed. Willie graduated from Arsenal Tech High School in 1973 and attended S.W. Michigan College. He later played and coached football with the National Amateur Football League for the Indy Bears. He is survived by his wife of 36 years Deborah, daughters Rachael N. Blanchard-Smith, DeAndra C. (Steven) Norwood, Son Willie J. Blanchard Jr. Grandchildren: Michaela A, Michael A. Smith II, Kennedy, Steven and Zion Norwood. Father, Willie B. Blanchard, Sisters Bernice (Larry) Coleman, Lottie (William) Jones, Carrie L. (Theodore) Wilson and Vanessa Blanchard. He was preceded in death by his mother Lillie Lee Pounds, sisters Linda and Patty and a brother Charles.
