William Thomas Edwards

William Thomas Edwards, 79, Carmel, Indiana, passed away January 29, 2011. He was born December 17, 1931, in St. Louis, MO, the son of the late William and Estelle (Haley) Edwards. He and Mary Jo (Gregory) Edwards were married on March 18, 1961. Bill, a graduate of Central Missouri State, retired as sales manager for Coca-Cola USA, Atlanta, GA, after forty years of service. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of Carmel Lodge #421, Prather York Rite, Carmel Golden K Kiwanis, and was a Kentucky Colonel. He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Mary Jo; two daughters, Kathy (Mitch) Bunner and Karen Ellis; five grandchildren - Alex, Kyle, Liz, Jacob and Haley; and sister-in-law, Jane Harris. He was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine Pope. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 3, 2011, at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 4780 East 126th Street. Calling will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Carmel Golden K Kiwanis, or Central Missouri State College, Warrensburg, MO.
