William “Bill” Robert Stone
Born July 3, 1948, to William E. and Ada (Stone) Seavers. His youth was spent in Noblesville, Indiana alongside his siblings Nancy Ellen (Gibbons), Steve, Jim, John, Michael Christopher, and Becky (Daniels).
Bill was a proud Army Veteran with active duty during the Vietnam War, achieving the rank of Specialist 5th Class, and he was stationed in Germany. During his service, Bill was awarded the National Defense Service medal and the Good Conduct medal. After being discharged he was a long-time member of Legion Post 45.
Bill eventually moved to Lapel, Indiana when he married his wife of forty-one years, Christine (Ashby) Stone. Bill and Christine each had two children, creating a blended family of six.
On October 27, 2023, Bill took his last breath as God carried him home. He was proceeded in death by his parents, his brother John, his daughter Teri (Armstrong) and his granddaughter Zoë Manley. He leaves behind his children, Nancy Elizabeth (Manley), Jeremy Hinshaw and Chad Beeman. As well as his siblings, several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Tuesday November 7th from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Flanner Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Rd. Indianapolis. A memorial service will begin there at 12:00pm. Online condolences may be shared at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
