William Raymond 'Willie' Grider

William Raymond (Willie) Grider Jr,71, of Brownsburg, Indiana passed away on July 13, 2013. Willie was born to Bill and Viola Grider on July 3, 1942 in Indianapolis, In. He married Linda Charlene Hollingsworth Grider, the love of his life, on July 8, 1962. He retired as Production Director of the Indy Star in 2001 with 42 years of service. He was an avid reader, loved sports, and working in his garden. He resided half the year in Scottsdale,AZ, where he enjoyed hiking Sunrise Peak. He loved and cherished his family He was preceded in death by his father William R Sr and mother Viola Grider He was survived by his wife Linda, his brothers Ralph and Dennis, sisters Nora and Melinda and brother in law Mike Hollingsworth. He will be greatly missed by his children Kimberly(Ken) Grider, Scotty (Jennifer) Grider, Valarie(Matt) Schachte and pride and joy grand daughter Gabriella Grace Grider. Visitation will be Tuesday July 16,2013 at Flanner & Buchannon 2706 Kessler Blvd W Dr, Indpls, In from 4-8 with funeral services on Wednesday, July 17,2013 at 1:00 P.M.
