William Jacob Rapp, 94, peacefully passed away on July 24, 2025. He was born on September 2, 1930, to Jacob Rapp and Irene Yestingsmeier.
Bill was a man of quiet strength and deep passions. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and later spent his career as a skilled watchmaker, known for his precision and dedication. Outside of work Bill found joy in cycling, camping, and spending time in the great outdoors, where he often brought his camera to capture the world around him.
Bill is survived by his wife Mourlyn, children Jeff (Tammy) Rapp, Kenneth Simpson, Steve Simpson, Daughter in-laws Nancy Komenda Rapp and Julie Rapp. her grandchildren Mark Rapp, Gregg Rapp, Kylie Pfeiffer, Dustin Rapp, Chelsey Neisler, Aarik Williams, Aramis Williams, Laura Hunter, Lindsey Lankford and Jessica Rapp. 15 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his children Mark Rapp, David Rapp, and Susan Rapp Hunter.
A Memorial Gathering to celebrate Bill's life will take place on August 5, 2025, at Washington Park East in Indianapolis (10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46229). The gathering will begin at 3:00 PM and conclude at 5:00 PM.
