William R. 'Bill' Hill

William R. Hill, 83 of Indianapolis, IN passed away on December 11, 2014. He was born in Portland, Tennessee to William Evan and Cordelia Hill. He served in the US Army where he was a Golden Glove Boxer. He was very helpful to others and was called the "neighborhood watch guy" and was an Honorary Deputy Sherriff for Marion County. He retired from Chrysler Corporation after 30 years. He loved working on and racing cars. He was a devout Christian. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of nearly 60 years, Edith, his son, Bill Hill and his brother, Charles. He is survived by his children, Barbara and husband Rick Davis, Michael Lark and Mike Tucker, his brother, Donald Hill, two sisters, Sadie Kepley and Linda Fleming, grandchildren, Nicholas, Benjamin, Jennifer and Rebecca and great-grandchildren, Mia, Lindy, Vera and Genevieve. Calling will be from 11 AM until service time at 1 PM Sunday, December 14, 2014 at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis.
