William Michael Varanka

William Michael Varanka, 60, passed away suddenly on April 19, 2022. He was born on November 23, 1961, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.

Bill was a graduate of the University of Notre Dame class of 1985 – he loved his Fighting Irish and enjoyed his annual trips to the football games to proudly show off his alma mater. Bill was a member of the Woodstock Club in Indianapolis where he loved to socialize, golf, and watch his girls in the yearly Club swim meets.

Bill was a Vice President, Treasury & Wealth Management for Byline Bank.

William is survived by his loving wife, Jana; four amazing daughters Elizabeth of Chicago, Emily, Caitlin, and Kellie at home; mother Carol Varanka of South Windsor, CT; sister Eileen Smith of Powell, OH and sister Cindy (Tim) Mahony of Monroe, CT; mother-in-law Patricia Peloquin of Carmel, sisters-in-law Lora Peloquin of Chicago and Andra Mason of Carmel; nieces and nephews Erin Mahony of  Vernon, CT, Ryan and Conor Mahony of Monroe, CT, Delaney Smith of Powell, OH and Christian Mason of Carmel. Bill was pre-deceased by his father William John Varanka and father-in-law William Peloquin.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 23, from 12 noon to 1, at Flanner Buchanan – Carmel, 325 E. Carmel Drive. A Celebration of Life will follow at 1 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made out to the Indiana Repertory Theatre or the Eiteljorg Museum.
