McHenry (San Francisco CA); two grandsons, Kevin Roy (Kelley); and Kyle Roy (Linnea); and four great-grandchildren, Vivian Roy, Sylvia Roy, Thomas Roy, and Soren Roy. Bill was born into a family of 13 children. He is survived by his siblings Robert McHenry, Carolyn Tschopp, and Bonnie Adams.

In civilian life, he became a particularly conscientious railroad engineer. He set a high standard for professionalism, conduct, and responsibility, and was deeply respected by those who worked with him.

After his retirement, Bill devoted himself to intricate woodworking, creating finely detailed inlaid boxes, wall clocks, and many other handmade pieces for members of his family. He took great pleasure in this work, and his craftsmanship became one of the many ways he expressed care, patience, and devotion to those he loved.

Bill will be remembered for his integrity, discipline, skill, and quiet dedication to his family and his work.
