William Macdonald

William T. Macdonald, 92, Indianapolis, passed away September 24, 2012. He was born July 22, 1920, in Gary, the son of Peter and Blanche (Barrows) Macdonald. He married Marjorie J. (Abrams) Macdonald on July 16, 1954 in Indianapolis. William served in the U.S. Coast Guard in World War II. He retired in 1973 as a Comptroller from Eli Lilly. He was life master bridge player. He also served as a bookkeeper of the Bridge Club and the Christ Church Cathedral. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marjorie Macdonald; children, Paul E. (Alice) Macdonald, Lou Ann Macdonald, Sharon E. Cox, Steve (Debbie) Fleming; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death his brother, Wally Macdonald. Services will be private.
