William Lloyd Wakeman

William Lloyd Wakeman, 60, Indianapolis, IN, passed away February 16, 2022. He was born on May 1, 1961 to the late Richard Lloyd Wakeman and Betty Joe (Wainscott) Wakeman in Indianapolis.

After graduating high school from Arsenal Tech, he went on to attend IvyTech where he received his associates degree. He worked for over 15 years as a security guard in the Indianapolis area. 

He loved to travel with family and had fond memories of visiting many states across the US. He loved to read and was an avid collector of comics and strange facts. When asked, he would always have some new piece of trivia to share. He kept his mind active by spending hours solving puzzle books. He especially loved and was loved by animals of all kinds. He was soft spoken, never had a terrible thing to say, and endeavored to see the good in others. 

He is survived by his sister, Helen (Wakeman) Oldfather; niece, Megan Oldfather; and nephew, Dale Oldfather. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from 12-2PM with funeral services to begin at 2PM at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229.
