William Joseph Gray

William Joseph Gray, Sr. 83, of Indianapolis, passed away on September 12, 2012. He was born on March 8, 1929 in Dayton, TN to the late Frank and Ida Dooley Gray. William was employed at Allison Transmission for 17 years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of UAW 933 Plant 5. He also received an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army in 1956. William is survived by his loving wife of 26 years Margie R. Gray; sons, William Jr (Earlean), Larry, Alvin "AK", Dale (Angela); daughters, Linda Gaddis and Shelia Shaw; stepsons, Vernon Compton and Ernest Byrd (Crystal); 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Friends may call on Monday, September 17, 2012 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Flanner and Buchanan - Washington Park North .
