William Joseph Catellier

William Joseph Catellier 85, Indianapolis, went to be with the Lord peacefully on July 31, 2012 surrounded by his five children. He was a 1944 graduate of Cathedral High School. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of WWII and an active member of the American Legion for 60 years, and a member of St. Monica Catholic Church since 1969. He was employed at Indiana Bell for 36 years, retiring in 1984. He enjoyed family, being very involved with his grandchildren's activities and accomplishments, and learning about his family's history through their genealogy. He was a big Colts fan and enjoyed spending time with his friends at American Legion Post 497. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Cecilia and his wife of 46 years, Ann, brothers, Norbert, James, and Charles and sister MaryAnn Hudson. He is survived by his children Nancy (Steve) Wright, Bette (Larry) Flueckiger, Michael, Annette (Bob) Costello, Don (Tiffany); grandchildren: Aaron and Brian Wright, Eric and Evan Flueckiger, Megan and Anna Catellier, Joey and Maria Costello, sister-in-law Betty Marie Hullett; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Our Hope, 1400 N Meridian St. Visitation will be Monday at St. Monica from 4:30 to 8 p.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday at 10 a.m. You are invited to go to the Guest Book page to pass along your personal message or tell a story.
