William John Talbott

William "Bill" John Talbott Born in Bedford, IN, March 23, 1949, and raised in Linton, IN, the son of John Edward Talbott and Marie Agnes (Dalton) Talbott, passed away October 7, 2011, at 5:41 a.m. in St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. Bill was surrounded by his family as he slipped away from us peacefully, after a long battle with a lung disease. Bill is survived by his wife of 23 years, Patricia (DeBurger); daughter and son-in-law, Julie Marie and Ryan; daughter, Amie Kathleen; grandchildren Leah and Ethan, Jordan and Jackson; step-brother James (Jim) Dorraugh; niece Filinda Dorraugh Farris, and many loving family and special friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Kathy (Blair) Talbott, and step-mother, Vena Ester (Dorrough) Talbott. A 1967 graduate of Linton-Stockton High School, and 1974 graduate of Indiana State University, Bill went on to become a medical technologist working at Greene County General Hospital (Linton, IN), Mary Sherman Hospital (Sullivan, IN), and the last 20 years at Covance Central Labs (Indianapolis, IN). Bill was a great son, husband, father, dad, papaw and friend. He loved being surrounded by his family and friends, being outdoors, making his lawn just right and the building of his pond. Visitation will be Monday October 10, 2011 at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center - Washington Park North , 2706 Kessler Blvd. West Drive, Indianapolis, IN from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with burial services beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral center. At the request of Bill, he will have a natural burial. We ask that you dress casual. In lieu of flowers, his wish was memorial contributions be made to the Eagle Creek Park Foundation, Indianapolis, IN. Envelopes will available at the funeral home.
