William John Cowan

William John Cowan 79, son of Charles and Edna Cowan, born January 15, 1932, on the east side of Indianapolis, passed away in his home on January 12, 2012. He is survived by his wife Janet of 56 years and his four children Esther (Frank) Dubiel, IN, Jeff (Candy) Cowan, CA, Randall (Kitty) Cowan and Thomas (Kathy) Cowan, IN,. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was a decorated Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. He then worked 32 years for the Fred A. Beck Company as a truck driver. In his pass time he enjoyed family gatherings and watching sports with family, friends and his beloved dog BJ. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm, Sunday, January 15, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan-Speedway. Services will be Monday, January 16, 2012 at 10 am at the funeral center.
