William Henry Dodt

William H. Dodt 87, of Greenfield, IN passed away March 12, 2013. He was born April 16, 1925 in Royal Center; IN. William was a proud veteran serving in the Marines. He was awarded the Purple Heart Medal August 7, 1945 for wounds received as result of enemy action on Two Jima. He also received the Bronze Star Medal on September 7, 1945 for his heroic achievements. He worked many years at Bud Wolfe Chevrolet, retiring in 1984. He was married 68 years to his lovely wife Pharol, who he cherished and loved dearly. He is survived by his wife Pharol and grandson Jeremy Dodt and sister in law Sandra (Jerry) Linder, preceded in death by son Danny Dodt. Visitation will be held Monday, March 18th 1pm to 2pm at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN, with a memorial service beginning at 2pm. Entombment will take place at Washington Park East Cemetery.
