William H. Wimmenauer, Sr., 89, of Indianapolis, passed away November 20, 2015. He was born in Indianapolis the son of Herman and Mildred (Weddle) Wimmenauer. He was a WWII US Navy Veteran and a member of VFW Post #2999, a 50 year member of Englewood Masonic Lodge No. 715 F. & A.M., Indianapolis Scottish Rite and the Murat Shrine. William founded Industrial Anodizing, Inc., in 1964 and served as President until his retirement in 2000. He continued to serve on the Board of Directors until his death. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Gloria (Wood) Wimmenauer, his son, Ronald Wimmenauer and brothers, Robert and Richard Wimmenauer.
William is survived by his son, William Wimmenauer, Jr., (Barb) of Greenwood, IN and their children, Jeff (Cheri), Cristie (Darrell), Janice, Jessica and Justin; and son, Michael Wimmenauer (Gina) of Greenwood, IN, and their children, Anna and Olivia; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 24, 2015 from 4:00 8:00 PM at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229, where a masonic service will be held at 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Washington Park East Cemetery with military rites.
