William Edward Fuller
84, Fishers, was born in Indianapolis on December 12, 1927 and passed away on December 17, 2011. He attended Notre Dame University and owned and operated Fuller Brokerage Company. Bill was president of the Indianapolis Association of Manufacturers Representatives and the Indianapolis Food Brokers Association. After serving in the National Guard for ten years, he retired as a Captain. Bill was a great sports fan, and as a Notre Dame student, traveled to Yankee Stadium in 1946 to witness the ND vs. Navy football game dubbed "The Game of the Century". He greatly enjoyed coaching little league sports which included hockey, baseball and football. In the mid 50's, he was one of the founding fathers of Indianapolis Youth Hockey. In the 70's, he was the head coach for the Indiana University Hockey Team and also during that same decade he coached the Lawrence Central High School hockey team to a state championship. In Bill's twilight years, he enjoyed spending time with his ever-growing family. He is survived by his wife, Patricia A. Fuller; two daughters, Susan F. Benson and Sally F. Neeld; two sons, James W. Fuller and John R. Fuller; brother, Joseph R. Fuller; and sister, Ann F. Hanley. He was blessed with thirteen grandchildren, one of whom is now in heaven; and eleven great-grandchildren. Bill will be remembered for his quick wit and love for his family. Services will be held on Thursday, December 22 at 2 PM at Flanner and Buchanan- Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, 9700 Allisonville Road, with visitation from 12 PM until service time at the funeral center.
