William E. Calvert
65, passed away January 28, 2012 after a courageous battle against Glioblastoma. He was born on September 13, 1946 in Glasgow, Kentucky and was a Kentucky Colonel. He lived most of his young life in Lebanon, Indiana and adult life in Indianapolis.
He was chosen by the Colts organization to be their 12th man for the Colts vs. Jets 2009 AFC Championship game that sent the Colts to the Super Bowl 2010. Thank You COLTS for giving Bill a wonderfully amazing day. Thank you to everyone who was involved with his care. Bill was known for his quick wit, great come backs and he provided a lifetime of fun and laughter.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Chelsey Calvert and his parents, Melvin and Frances Calvert. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Cheri (Jones) Calvert; son, William Kevin Calvert; two grandchildren, William Tyler Calvert and Jamie Calvert; four sisters, Sue Cooper, Jane Morse, Judy Burns, Sherry Graves and two brothers, Darryl Calvert and Greg Calvert.
Visitation wil be at Noon on Wednesday, Feb. 1 in Flanner and Buchanan - Washington Park North , with services at 2 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family or Juvenile Diabetes Foundation or the Glioblastoma Foundation.
