William E. Wendling

William E. Wendling, Sr., 95, of Noblesville passed away August 30. 2015. He was born December 31, 1919 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Russell Charles and Helen Irene (Daffron) Wendling. He graduated from Broad Ripple High School in 1938 and served as a pilot in the 64th Troop Carrier Group of the U.S. Army Air Corps in the southern European Theatre during World War II. He is preceded in death by his siblings: Donald, Betty, James, Ralph, and Fred; and his first wife, Roberta Alice (Kibbe) Engelking. Loving survivors include his wife, Edith Juanita (Rauch) Wendling; his son, William E. Wendling, Jr.; his step-children, Cynthia (Quillin) McDaniel and Larry Quillin; many nephews and nieces; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
