William Durnil

William "Bill" Durnil 91, Indianapolis, passed away January 11, 2012. Bill worked for Uniroyal for over 40 years, retiring in 1982. He was a 50 year member of the Englewood Masonic Lodge #715, member of Moose Lodge, Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine, SOAR Steel Workers Association, American Bowling Congress and 60 year member of the Greater Indianapolis Bowling Association. Bill enjoyed playing cards and traveling with family to Las Vegas. He is survived by his daughter, Shirley Little; grandchildren, Theresa (Brian) Rothwell, Billy Little, Jr., Anita (Marty) Nichols and Deborah Underwood; ten great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; nephews, Kenneth Durnil, Jr., Larry Sherers, John Sherers and Steven Sherers. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Thomas Durnil; parents, William and Lola (Kirby) Durnil; sister, Evelyn Sherers and brother, Kenneth Durnil. Services for Bill will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, January 16, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East, with visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, January 15. Entombment will be in Washington Park East Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital.
