William Church

William H. "Bill" Church, Jr., 72 of Carmel, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014. Bill was born October 4, 1941 in Muncie to the late William H. Sr., and Virginia (Tyrrell) Church. Bill was an executive with Republic National Distributing Company (formally, National Wine and Spirits) for 10 years, retiring in 2011. Prior, he was employed by Seagram's Distillers from 1972 to 2001. Before his career with Seagram's, Bill and his father, Bill Sr. owned Bill's Liquors in Muncie and also worked for Beall's Menswear. Bill attended Ball State University and was a member of the Moose and Elks Lodges and the Ancient Order of Hibernians as well as the past President of the Northwest Plaza and Southway Plaza Merchants Associations. Bill has resided in Carmel for the past 30 years, Friends and family are invited to gather from 2:00 to 6:00 pm Sunday, October 5 at Flanner and Buchanan-Carmel. A funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am Monday, October 6 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Carmel Cemetery. Bill is survived by his wife, Anne; sons, William H. "Tripp" Church, III and Joseph A. "Tony" Church; grandsons, Cameron A. and Connor T. Church; sisters, Joann Jones, Mary Carroll Jones and Pat Brennan.
