William L. Briggs, 58, of Westfield passed away April 26, 2025. He was born December 1, 1966, in Columbus, Georgia the son of the late William Leon Briggs and Elizabeth Diane (Cole) Reed. He married Jennifer Warmuth on May 11, 2013, in Key West, Florida.
Bill had a rewarding career in construction management, that he truly loved, and was able to make life-long friends and connections. He was currently a Senior Project Manager for Capital Construction Services. He had a big personality, with an even bigger heart. He was quick-witted, guaranteed a laugh, and a sarcastic answer. He enjoyed traveling, exploring new places, discovering new foods, and finding an adventure wherever he was – most recently skijoring in Red Lodge, Montana. Not one to sit still, Bill enjoyed being active, riding his motorcycle, hiking, working out, and walking the dogs. He was a devoted husband, brother, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed by many.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Briggs; sister, Teresa Miles; niece, Amanda (Justin) Cassidy; nephew, Bret (Courtney) Miles Jr.; great nephews, Camden and Westen; mother-in-law, Nancy (Mark May) Warmuth; and brother-in-law, Eric Warmuth.
A Celebration of Life service will be at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Flanner Buchanan – Hamilton Memorial Park (Prairie Waters), 4180 Westfield Road. A celebration gathering will immediately follow from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. In honor of Bill, friends and family are requested to dress casually and come as you are – that’s the way Bill would want it! Memorial contributions may be directed to Humane Society for Hamilton County.
