William A. “Bill” Branic, 98 of Indianapolis, formerly of Carmel, passed away Monday, July 21, 2025, surrounded by his family. Bill was born December 21, 1926, in Manhattan, Kansas to the late Charles and Faye Branic. He was a WWII Marine Corps veteran and a graduate of Eureka College.
Bill was co-owner of ClarkLift of Indiana, Inc. based in Indianapolis, retiring in 1990. He was a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, the Kiwanis Club and the American Material Handling Society and Legacy Bible Church.
Bills personality and stories of life brought warmth and joy to everyone he encountered. He made life-long lasting friendships.
A Celebration of Life service will be Friday, August 15th at 1:30 at Flanner Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Connor Suite and followed by a celebratory gathering at Traditions at North Willow, Bill’s residence, from 3:30 to 5:30pm.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Maryalice Branic and his second wife, Grace Gibbs Branic. He is survived by his children, Michael C. (wife, Barbara) Branic, Carol L. (husband, William) Erickson, Peggy A. (husband, Richard) Warren and Barbara “Barbie” Davis; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Emil Stewart, Bonnie Lee Whitten and Charles Vaughn Branic, Jr.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
