Bill dedicated a remarkable 34 years of his life to Indiana Bell, beginning his career as a lineman and mastering the art of pole climbing. His commitment to his profession was evident, and after retiring, he continued to work at various golf courses, where he found great joy in maintaining the greens, particularly at his favorite course, Crooked Stick.
A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Bill served from 1962 to 1966. While he did not see combat overseas, his service exemplified his dedication to his country.
Those who knew Bill will remember his infectious laugh and keen sense of humor. He had a knack for creating an inviting atmosphere, often bringing everyone together over a good cocktail of Crown Royal and diet coke on Saturday nights. He was especially fond of his notorious chili, which he made spicier with every batch, delighting family and friends alike.
An avid sports enthusiast, Bill loved watching a variety of games, from NBA and MLB to college baseball and softball, as well as NASCAR and the Indianapolis Colts. His passion for sports mirrored his energetic personality, which many will recall when they think of him.
Bill had a soft spot for dogs, particularly his two Black Labs, Lucy and Charlie. His warmth and friendliness were mirrored in the time spent with his canine companions, showing his kindhearted nature.
