William "Bill" Ray Wilson, 81, of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2014. He was born in Bowling Green, KY to Lawrence and Ina Grace (Hines) Wilson on July 22, 1932. Bill served in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged in 1955. He worked for over 35 years as a heavy equipment operator for the Mid Central Operating Engineers Local 103; working frequently with Broady, Edwards & Campbell Construction Company. Bill enjoyed breakfast many mornings at the Flying J; where he never met a stranger. He is survived by his children, Danny (Audrey) Wilson and Terri (Jim) Myers; grandchildren, Danny Wilson, Joe Standish, Holly Curtis, Jennifer & Julie Myers; 10 great-grandchildren. Bill is also survived by sisters, Linda (John) Duke and Shirley Jean Coryell. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruth Evelyn (Games) Wilson; and daughter, Debra Standish. Visitation for Bill will be held at Flanner and Buchanan – Speedway on Sunday, January 12, 2013 from 2-6pm. A Committal service will be held in the Chapel of West Ridge Park Cemetery on Monday, January 13, 2014 at 11am. Memorial Contributions may be given to the Ronald McDonald House.
