William 'Bill' Essex

On the morning of Saturday, August 30, 2014, William Ira Essex was called home by the Lord. He proudly served in the US Marines and with the Indiana State Police and was a Commercial Driver for Star Of America. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his son and spending quality time with family. He also enjoyed working in his workshop and perfecting his Coca-Cola bar. Bill was an amazing person and reached many hearts and souls nationwide. He was always quite the jokester. Bill is preceded in death by his mother, Vera Wood Lewallen, father, George Essex, step-father, James Lewallen, sons, William "Billy" Essex, Jr. and Scotty Ray Essex, his brother, Bruce Lewallen and great-granddaughter, Harlee Danielle Rae Johnson. Surviving to cherish his memory are his life-time partner, Kim Freeman (Essex), daughter, Kimberly Essex (Richard T. Cloyd) Luttrell, son, Steven Ross (Joanna Laderson) Essex, step-mother, Crystal Essex, siblings, Becky (John) Selzer, Barbara Sparks, Caroline (Doug) Ehlen, Debra (Joe) Cole and sister-in-law, Virginia Lewallen. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Timothy ( Shaunna Britt) Ray Luttrell, Jr., Stephanie Johnson and Joey (Ciara Taylor) Luttrell and great-grandchildren, Nikolai Ira Mclain Luttrell, William "Billy" Ray Luttrell, Dakota Marshall Johnson-Cloyd and Miyah Alice Rae Luttrell.
