William A. SerVaas, "Bill", 91 of Indianapolis, Indiana, went to be with the Lord January 19, 2012. He was born October 12, 1920, the son of late Lela and Beurt SerVaas.
Bill is survived by Jean, his loving wife and constant companion of 68 years. He is survived by his oldest son Andy (Lara) and younger son Mike (Linda). Bill's surviving grandchildren are Hans, Ian, Nicole and Kimberly, respectively.
Bill is also survived by his older brother Beurt (Cory) SerVaas, nieces and nephews Chris, Joan, Amy, Eric and Paul, younger sister Joey (late husband Rod) Williams, niece and nephews Cindy, John and Dave.
Bill graduated from Purdue University as a Mechanical Engineer. He was employed by RCA, Allison division of General Motors, Civil Defense Department and Moore Equipment Company. In 1957, Bill started and pursued a career as a Consulting Engineer which he continued into his 70's.
Bill attended East 91st Street Christian Church in Indianapolis and Trinity United Methodist Church in Rochester, IN with his wife Jean. He enjoyed being a good friend and neighbor, boating, roller skating, 4th of July, root beer, and ketchup.
Funeral services for Bill will be at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park North 2706 Kessler Blvd. W Drive, on January 27, 2012 at 12:00 PM with visitation from 10 AM until service time.
