Willard Ray Marshall, age 70, of Indianapolis, Ind., died on Friday, May 18, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 22, 1942 in Detroit, Mich., he was the son of the late Charles W. Marshall and Elsie V. (Dickey) Marshall.
He attended Cahokia High School in Cahokia, Ill and graduated with an Associate Degree in Bible Studies from Tennessee Temple College in 1966. On May 30, 1964 he married his wife of 47 years, Judy Williams in Centralia, Ill. He worked in retail management for many years at Kroger and then for 18 years was employed by Double 8 Foods, retiring in 2001. He was a member of the Plainfield Christian Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Marshall; daughter, Christine (Kurt) Beanblossom, Plainfield; son, Anthony (Deena) Marshall, Avon; sisters, Ellen (Bob) Dollins, Redlands, Calif., Betty (Gene) Kinder, Arnold, MO, and Dinah Byerley, Shiloh, Ill; brothers, Richard (Linda) Marshall, Cahokia, Ill and Robert (Dee) Marshall, Arnold, MO; grandchildren, Grant, Dane, and John Beanblossom all of Plainfield, Ind.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Marshall and sister, Ina Marshall.
Visitation will be on Monday, May 21, 2012 from 5p-8p at Flanner and Buchanan – Decatur, 5463 Kentucky Ave., Indianapolis. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at 11 am at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Gephart of Plainfield Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.
