Wilda "Dianne" Smith

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Wilda “Dianne” Smith, who departed this life on May 23, 2025, at the age of 74.

Dianne was born on September 29, 1950, and throughout her life, she was known for her kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. She touched the lives of many with her warmth, compassion, and generous spirit.

Dianne had a passion for growing roses, reading, Classical music, helping people find forever homes for the cats from Southside Animal Shelter, cooking and baking with her grandson, camping and hiking , and at least once, jumping out of a perfectly good airplane. Which brought her great joy and allowed her to connect with others in meaningful ways.

Dianne is survived by Her Husband Al, son David, and grandson Keaton, cousins Gary Jones of Kokomo, Pat Bennet in Ohio, Delbert Wright in Corpus Cristi, Texas as well as dear friends who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her father Comer Young Ingram, mother Wilda Hart Ingram, and brother Larry C. Ingram.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 2, 2025, at Flanner Buchanan-Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St. Indianapolis, Indiana, 46229 from 4PM-7PM.
