Wesley Shealey Jr.

April 19, 1963 — January 9, 2023

Fishers, IN

Wesley Clyde Shealey, Jr., 59, Fishers, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on January 9, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was born in Atlanta, GA to Wesley and Kathryn Shealey.
Wes was born and raised in the south before residing in Fishers, IN with his family. In his early years, his passion for music led to a career as a DJ in the nightclub industry across the south and midwest. In 1994, Wes received Billboard’s Best DJ award in the Southwest Region. Upon moving to Indiana, his career path shifted when he found a passion for digital signage sales and design and ended up working for the same company for 20 years. Following his ALS diagnosis in May of 2015, Wes found a way to continue doing what he loved but in different ways. His love of sports started at a young age, baseball specifically, and this was a staple throughout his life. Wes was a lifelong Atlanta Braves fan and had the opportunity to visit every Major League Baseball stadium. He was also the PA announcer at Fishers High School for many years and served as the voice of the Tigers baseball, basketball, and football teams. His creativity was ever present and that showed through his love of photography and the creation of his Be Brave photo store. In 2018, Wes received the Sagamore of the Wabash award, one of the highest honors given to citizens of the state of Indiana, for his service to the community and his efforts in raising awareness for ALS. Wes was an active member in the New Hope Presbyterian Church for many years. Most importantly, Wes was a devoted husband, proud father, and loving grandfather.
Wes was preceded in death by his mother.
Survivors include his loving wife of 27 years, Jennifer Shealey, children Brittney (Benjamin) Stone, Benjamin Shealey, and Nicole (Johnny) Bishop, grandchildren Jack, Madeline, Julia, and one on the way, and siblings Jim Guin and Wendy Wade.
Memorial contributions may be made to Cocktails & Caregivers, ALS Association: Indiana Chapter, and Fishers High School Athletic Department.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 15th from 3:00pm – 6:00pm at New Hope Presbyterian Church, 12550 Brooks School Rd, Fishers, IN 46037. Visitation will resume there on Monday, January 16th from 10:00am – 11:30am. Funeral services will begin at the church at 11:30am. Online condolences may be shared at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
