Wesley A. "Wes" Sparks, 33, of Denver, CO and formerly of Indianapolis, passed away May 30th, 2012 in Denver. He was born on June 12, 1978 in Indianapolis, son of John and Kathleen (Ellinger) Sparks. Wes was a graduate of Warren Central where he majored in music and Japanese. He was center snare drum for the Warren Central Gold Brigade marching band and was described by a fellow brigade member as "an amazing drummer and a natural leader, his smile lit up the room." He graduated from IU with an Economics degree and worked as an analyst with the Public Utilities of Denver.
Wes is survived by his parents John and Kathy Sparks of New Palestine, a brother, Bradley Ryan Sparks and his wife Angie of Indianapolis; and his grandmother, Ruth Ellinger also of Indianapolis.
Graveside Funeral services will be held 10:00am, Monday, June 4th, at Calvary Cemetery, 435 W. Troy Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46217 with Father Jim Wilmoth officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 until 8pm on Sunday at Flanner and Buchanan-9350 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229
