Wendell Ware

March 1, 1940 — December 9, 2015

Wendell Ware, 75 of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family Wednesday, December 9, 2015. Wendell was born March 1, 1940 in Camargo, KY to the late James W. and Lena K. Ware. He retired from ConRail as a railroad police officer after 27 years.

Wendell was a member and chaplain of Lynhurst Masonic Lodge and was a member of the Lynhurst Order of the Eastern Star and the Speedway Moose Lodge.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 19 at Flanner and Buchanan-Floral Park, where family and friends are invited to gather from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.

Wendell is survived by his wife, Judith; children, James S. (wife, Alisa) Ware and Judy K. Ware; grandchildren, Jacob S. Ware and Ashley M. (husband, Dustin) Wildrick; great grandchildren, Julie A. Ware and Nevaeh A. Wildrick; brother, James G. Ware. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Alan, Earl, Robert, Howard and Bill Ware and sisters, Charlotte and Geneva Ware.
