"Big Wayne" Williams was born to John C. Williams, Sr. and Evelyn Williams (Wade) on November 16, 1958, in Indianapolis, Indiana as the youngest of three children. He spent his younger years on the Southside of Indianapolis hanging with friends, working on cars, and playing sports. He graduated from Thomas Carr Howe High School in 1978.
In the Fall of 1982, Wayne welcomed his first son, Wayne Michael Williams. In the Spring of 1984, Wayne had another blessing in his youngest son, Patrick James Williams. He was survived by both of his sons, their families (Amanda Williams, Kinzie Ingermann, Kamryn Pew, and Chandler Williams), (Melanney MacKenzie and Jackson MacKenzie), as well as sister Vicky Williams. Wayne was preceded in death by his father, mother, and brother, John C. Williams, Jr.
Wayne spent much if his adult years raising his children, working, and helping others. He was always ready to provide advice, assist, or solve any problem that a family member, friend, or friend-of-a-friend had. He spent much of his free time fishing, hunting, and working on cars. Wayne was always known as an extemely generous and kind hearted man that put himself before all others.
Wayne passed on November 26, 2013, at Community North Heart & Vascular Hospital on Indianapolis' Northside after a long battle with heart issues. His service was held at the Good Shepard Chapel at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis, Indiana on December 7, 2013. Wayne was buried alongside his father, mother, and brother in the same location.
Although lost forever, "Big" Wayne Williams will never be forgotten. Every person that knew Wayne has and will always carry a piece of him with them. Wayne's love and generousity was infectious and will be his legacy. He is a man that will be forever missed.
