Wayne S. Lyon, Jr. 95, of Indianapolis, passed away September 25, 2013. He was born May 6, 1918 in Indianapolis, IN the son of Wayne S. and Elizabeth A. (Reuter) Lyon. He was a US Army Veteran and a member of The Scottish Rite, Englewood Masonic Lodge, Old Bethel United Methodist Church, Indy Wood Carvers, Ford Model A Ford, and several square dance clubs in Indianapolis. He retired from Western Electric after 38 years. He was preceded in death by his wife of almost 63 years, Amy Shields-Lyon. He is survived by his sons, Ron (Cynthia) and Jack Lyon; a daughter, Diane (Rick) Weisheit; grandchildren, Brent (Cheri) Weisheit and Heather (Brian) Romine; great-grandchildren, Denise, Dylan, Cameron, Hannah and Brooke; his sister, Elizabeth Lyon-Bradley and a brother George Lyon. Funeral Services will be held 12:00 PM Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Flanner and Buchanan-Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the service. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
