Wayne R. Stone

Wayne R. Stone, 63, Indianapolis, passed away October 1, 2016. He was born September 12, 1953, in Ann Arbor, MI, the son of the late Charles and Lois (Seely) Stone. He married Cynthia Lawson on May 28, 1977.

Wayne was a proud graduate of the University of Michigan with his Bachelor of Science is Engineering. He was a member of Servants of Christ Lutheran Church and Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity. He loved swimming and playing trumpet, especially at Michigan football games.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Cynthia Lawson; two daughters, Nicole Stone and Lindsay Stone; sister, Diane Stone; niece, Melissa McClure; mother and father-in-law, Bob and Marge Lawson; and a sister-in-law, Pati Lawson. He was preceded in passing by a brother-in-law, Peter Bodycombe.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 6, 2016, at Servants of Christ Lutheran Church, 7650 Oaklandon Road. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. There will also a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 22, 2016, at Zion Lutheran Church, 1501 West Liberty in Ann Arbor, MI.
