Wayne Lee Haskett, Jr., a beloved husband, author, and devoted member of his community, passed away on December 21, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Born on February 3, 1959, in Indiana, Wayne lived a life marked by kindness, care, and an unwavering faith.
A proud veteran of the Army, Wayne's dedication extended beyond his service to his country; he was a cherished family member and friend. He is remembered fondly by his wife, Katie Haskett, who was not only his partner but also his confidante and inspiration. Their life together, including memorable walks by the river in Madison, IN, highlighted the depth of their love and devotion to one another. Together, they created a warm home in Nashville, enriched by Wayne’s nurturing spirit.
Wayne's passion for writing was evident in his authorship of several books, showcasing his remarkable talent and dedication to sharing his thoughts and beliefs. He found great joy in reading the Bible, reflecting his deep Christian faith, which he exemplified through his loving and giving nature.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Katie Haskett; his sisters, Charmaine Boyer and April Clemmens; sisters-in-law, Jennifer (James) Schmelz and April (Walter) Mangum; and brother-in-law, Bill (Suzy) Moffatt. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Rocky Haskett.
A graveside service will be held in Wayne's honor on December 26, 2025, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis. The service will commence at 10:00 AM, providing family and friends an opportunity to celebrate his remarkable life and the profound impact he made on all who knew him.
