Wayne Ellsworth Davis Jr.

Wayne Ellsworth Davis, Jr., 65, of Carmel passed away May 2, 2022.  He was born January 22, 1957, in Carlisle, PA, the son of Wayne Ellsworth Davis, Sr. and Margaret Patricia (Cunningham) Novi.

Wayne proudly and honorably served in the United States Air Force.  He graduated from Spartan Aviation and Aeronautics in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  He retired from United Airlines.  Wayne enjoyed skydiving and paragliding.

He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Genevieve Davis; daughter, Beatriz (Corey) Sharp; three grandchildren, Preston, Jameson, and Lyanna; mother, Margaret Novi; and two brothers, Dwayne Davis and Shane (Susi) Davis.  He was preceded in passing by his father and his son, Joshua Lee Davis.

A memorial mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 14598 Oak Ridge Road, with the eulogy beginning at 10:45 a.m.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of eulogy. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project.
