Warren Oliver Mills

Warren Oliver Mills, 69, of Indianapolis, entered eternal rest on January 8, 2025.

Warren is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kathleen (nee Pollock) Mills, and his two sons, Ryan (Kathryn) Mills of Indianapolis and Christopher Mills of Oshkosh, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Doris (nee St. Clair) Mills, of St. Louis, formerly of New Orleans.

Born on July 26, 1955, in St. Louis, Missouri, Warren graduated from Berkley High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri. In 1980, he came to Indianapolis as a photojournalist and producer for WTHR. In 1994, he became the station’s first webmaster, merging his skills in journalism with his growing interest in technology. After retirement, in 2016, Warren continued his interest in computers, designing websites for various clients. Warren also had a variety of interests that enriched his life. He enjoyed exploring genealogy, gardening, woodworking, cooking, and watching his Mizzou Tigers.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park North, 2706 Kessler Blvd West Drive, Indianapolis, IN. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. An Inurnment will take place at West Ridge Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Beagle Freedom Project, 4804 Laurel Canyon Blvd #534, Valley Village, CA 91607.

Warren’s family and friends will forever remember him for his kindness, ingenuity, and deep love for those around him. He will be dearly missed.
