“Indianapolis, Indiana – Wanda Lee Young, 62, passed away after being comforted by her family on February 19, 2024. She was born to Eugene and Betty (Maple) Young in Miami, Florida on August 26, 1961.
Wanda was a dedicated woman who worked for over thirty years as a data entry specialist for Red Cats USA, however, her biggest joy in life was spending time with her family.
Wanda loved to go camping when she was younger with her beloved, Randy. They would travel the United States and spend as much time as possible outdoors and under the sky. As they grew older, she enjoyed painting ceramics, even going so far as to have her own kiln.
As they grew older, both she and Randy loved to spend time with their children and then their children’s children. They would listen to country or soft rock, while she played games on her tablet. As long as she was with her family though, Wanda was happy.
In addition to her father, Wanda is preceded in death by her brother Gene Young.
Wanda is survived by her beloved, Randy Maple, daughters Holli Young, and Jamie Goudeau (Kenneth), brother Walter Spurgeon, 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, her mother Betty Rogers.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park from 12 pm – 2 pm with services to follow at 2 pm. She will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery.”
