Wanda Marie Opheim, 56, died Thursday July 21 2016 at Community North Hospital, Indianapolis, IN.

Wanda Marie Rysavy was born September 21, 1959 in Michigan, ND the daughter of Stanley and Madonna Rysavy (Collette).

On December 10, 1977 Wanda was united in marriage to Thomas Opheim in Terrebonne MN. The couple made the majority of their home life in Indianapolis IN after living in North Carolina, Georgia, North Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota. She was a mother, bookkeeper, and office administrator at several organizations with the last two being Eagle Creek Nursery and Fall Creek Baptist Church in Indianapolis IN. She was a active member in her church by playing on a worship team, teaching Sunday School, Working in the Nursery, Participating in a Small Group and Leading Women’s Small Group Bible Study.

Throughout the years, Wanda enjoyed doing many different passions including playing guitar, planting flowers, hosting people in her home, traveling, computers, and being with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father Stanley, mother Madonna, brothers Todd and Jamie.

She is survived by her husband Thomas Opheim; three children, Elizabeth (Zachery) Beals of Fishers, IN, Benjamin (Rachel) Opheim of Indianapolis, IN, and Paula (Jeremy) Milliner of Wabash, IN. Eight grandchildren, Andrew, Caden, Olivia, Evelyn, Gwenneth, Lillian, Tyler, and Kaari; sisters, Lori Schindler of Lakeville, MN, Francine Rysavy of Grand Forks, ND, Charline McKenna of Indianapolis IN, Paul Rysavy of Thief River Falls, MN, and Pauline Stahl of Andover, MN; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation services will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Flanner and Buchanan- Geist Funeral Center from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be on Friday, July 29, 2016 at Fall Creek Baptist Church, Indianapolis at 2pm. Burial Service in Fertile MN
