Wanda L. Logan left this world too soon, on March 13th, 2024. She was born May 7th, 1961, in Indianapolis, Indiana to parents Jewel and Thelma Phelps.
When Wanda was a young lady, only 15 years old, she met the love of her life, Gary Logan. On August 19th, 1978, they were married and shared 45 wonderful years together.
Wanda was a vibrant, loving woman with a big heart, and great sense of humor. She was a very talented artist and created many incredible paintings. Shopping was a passion for Wanda, and she never passed up an opportunity to browse Ross or Marshalls. Wanda enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, and taking her family camping. She and Gary traveled as often as possible. She loved music and attending concerts, as well as going to the movies. Being a mother and mamaw was so important to her, and she took photos of her family and grandkids as often as they’d let her. In her down time, you could find her painting in the front room.
She was a devoted wife, mom, mamaw, sister, aunt and friend. She will be sorely missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Wanda is survived by her husband Gary; children Tonya Fox, Gary Logan, and Ashley Logan; grandchildren Devon Fox, Mariah Fox, Donny Logan, Draven Kane, Domanick Logan, Mycena Kane, Daylen Logan, Daymen Logan, Isaiah Porter, and Meleigha Logan; great-granddaughter Olivia Grace Logan; siblings Donald Phelps, Gloria Logan, Ola Wilkerson, Tim Phelps, Milton Phelps, Delores Baumann, Ronnie Phelps, and Joyce Combs; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Jewel and Thelma, and her brother Gerald Phelps.
Visitation for Wanda will be Saturday, March 30th, at Flanner Buchanan Memorial Park from 12-4pm. Her funeral will begin at 4pm.
