Walter W. Canter

Walter W. Canter, New Palestine, passed away January 18, 2013 at the age of 70. Walt was born June 15, 1942, the child of William and Vinna Canter. He worked as a truck driver for many years. Walt enjoyed reading western books and watching western movies. He also enjoyed camping and fishing. Walt was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan. He is survived by his wife, Mary (Eads) Canter; daughters, Sherrie (Bob) Olson, Charlene (Roy) Evans, Darlene (Gus) Cruz, Debby (Glen) Bravard; 11 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren, sisters June Schloredt and Jeani Whittington. Walt was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Eldon Henry, and his brother, Eddie. Services will be on Wednesday, January 23 at 1 PM at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street. Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 22 from 4-8 PM at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East. Entombment will be at Washington Park East Cemetery.
