Walter Reinacker, 92, of Indianapolis, passed away February 22nd, 2022. He was born in Indianapolis, February 25th, 1929 to parents Walter and Mabel (Becker) Reinacker.
In 1950, Walt married the love of his life, Betty (Delks) Reinacker. They shared 72 wonderful years together.
He grew up in Indianapolis and graduated from Manuel high school, where he participated on the cheerleading team.
Walt continued his education at Butler University, where he was a drummer in the Butler pep band. He greatly enjoyed drumming and continued participating in the Butler Alumni pep band for several years.
Walt worked in the exhibit design business for many, many years, a job he excelled at and enjoyed. His passion and commitment for customer service made him a leader in his field.
Walter was a valued member of the Masonic Lodge #23 F&A. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite and Murat Shrine.
Walter was a witty, hardworking, loving gentleman. He enjoyed staying busy, but truly dedicated his life to his family, faith, and friends. He was a devoted husband, father, grandpa, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Walt is survived by his wife, Betty; daughters Lynne (Jeff) Miller and Jo (Peter) Dinwiddie; two grandsons Andrew and Jacob; and his nieces Peggy Stanish and Mari Descheneaux.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Dorothy Monroe.
Visitation for Walt will be Tuesday, March 1st, at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park east, from 1-3pm; his funeral will begin at 3pm. He will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to Second Presbyterian Church, Scottish Rite, or Masonic Lodge #23 F&A.
